What to Expect

Amara offers a safe, empathic and supportive space for you to come and be heard and explore issues. She has extensive training in mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, stress management, and trauma therapies. Amara brings to her practice warmth, insight and a deep respect for your unique journey and process. She skillfully weaves together mindful self-awareness and other therapies to assist individuals in making meaningful changes in their lives.

Fees & Rebates – Medicare and Private Health Insurance

The current fee for a 50-60 minute sessions $180. Medicare rebates are available if you have a Mental Health Plan from your GP. With a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for up to twenty individual sessions per year (this includes a Covid Care Plan).  The rebate for each session is $88.25. If you have private health insurance, you may also be eligible for a rebate.

Telehealth/Zoom sessions

With recent changes in Medicare legislation due to Covid 19, you can now have psychology sessions with Amara via video in the convenience of your own home.  Amara offers Telehealth sessions to people anywhere in Australia. I am currently only offering Telehealth sessions.

Appointments & Availablilty

I will be away until February 1st 2022 and will not be available to respond to emails, calls or texts until then.  I will be available to take new bookings from 1st February 2022. The best way to contact me is by phone. Please check back here again as my availability changes. I am currently only available for Zoom or phone sessions.
